I am not sending you my testimony, but rather a brief message of support for the work you have been doing in women’s rights, specifically in our right to choose how we want to lead our lives including our choices on sexuality without the intervention and restrictions from third parties.

My statement expresses the feelings of women like me, who live in under developed countries. Here, methods to prevent pregnancies or to prevent sexually transmitted diseases do not reach the majority of the population. – take into consideration that the majority of the population in countries like mine live in squalor.

I also consider the campaign to legalize abortion to be very important. This is a decision that only concerns the individual involved; I think the right to an abortion is a political one as it allows for the women to be free and develop as individuals.

Your representation is important, because it is the extension of our voice to the governments that dictates policy to our governments.
I congratulate you and hope you keep on fighting on behalf of all of us.
