Who will be attending the conference?
All students and young activists interested in progressive and feminist issues and specifically those interested in building their leadership skills are encouraged to attend. The conference is geared toward campus activists, including nontraditional students, faculty, and staff. This conference will benefit seasoned activists as well as beginners with little or no leadership experience.
You don't need to be a student. Our program focuses largely on the grassroots efforts of students, but the issues we discuss at the conference are relative to the reproductive justice and youth feminist community as a whole.
How will this conference help me on campus?
The goal of this conference is to encourage and prepare young women to become the social and political leaders for their generation. Skill-building workshops will educate conference participants on a wide array of topics and provide them with critical skills to return to their campus and employ them immediately!
Networking with other feminists from around the country is another main goal of the conference. Students will be able to build alliances with feminists from other campuses as well as well seasoned feminists and global activists whose experience and resources will prove invaluable.
Where is the conference?
The conference is being held at the Hilton Crystal City just outside of Washington, DC, only 5 minutes from National Airport. Most conference activities on Saturday and Sunday will be there at the Hilton, located at 2399 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia, 22202. The closest Metro station is Crystal City on the blue line and is just a few blocks away.
For the Congressional Visit Day on Monday, activities will be on Captiol Hill, and further details will be coming closer to the conference.

What is included in the cost?
- Two days of workshops, leadership training, and exposure to leaders and activists from across the country
- One light meal for Saturday & Sunday (probably breakfast - yet to be determined)
- Optional Congressional Visit Day for those who stay through Monday, April 2nd

- Free copy of the latest Ms. Magazine
How will I pay for this?
There is still time before the conference, so start saving now!
Ask your university to sponsor your group, especially if you are a recognized group. Many universities offer specific travel vouchers for training events that often go unused. Also, some money is often allocated by department. If your school has a Women's Studies department, that is the obvious choice to seek funding, but remember, that almost any academic department would be interested in funding a leadership conference, so ask as many as you can for support!

Is food provided at the conference?
This year, Feminist Majority Foundation is excited to say that we will be providing one light meal - probably a continental breakfast - to all those with us at the Hilton Crystal City. Please stay tuned as we finalize this with our conference hotel hosts.
When should I arrive at the conference?
The conference begins Saturday at 9:45 am, so most people will arrive on Friday night.
When does the conference end?
The conference ends at 4 pm on Monday, after attendees have visited with their members of Congress. However, those unable to stay for the Congressional Visit Day portion of the conference can expect activities to end on Sunday at 5 pm.
What should I wear?
The conference itself will be business casual (pants and a top are fine), but you should bring one nicer outfit (a suit if you have one, or a jacket with slacks or skirt with button down shirt, etc.) if you plan on participaring in the Congressional Visit Day.
Is the Hilton in Crystal City wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Hilton is accessible. However, for those with special needs, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what sort of accommodations you need so that we can notify the facilities department in advance and can provide you all the information you may need before your arrival.
