Fight Global Poverty: Get involved in Oxfam America Collegiate Click Drive
Brandeis FMLA Activist Lauren Greis is also the Campus Outreach Co-coordinator of the Oxfam America Collegiate Click Drive and is currently encouraging campus involvement in the campaign to fight global poverty through their Collegiate Click Drive. Greis notes, “If you knew you could fight hunger and poverty, conserve the environment, empower women, combat AIDS, improve labor standards and win a national competition for your university-all with only two clicks a day-would you do it? Well, you can! Participate in the 2004 Oxfam America Collegiate Click Drive, a national online competition to generate free donations for micro credit programs worldwide!”
Led by Oxfam America, an international development organization dedicated to Finding long-term solutions to poverty, hunger and social injustice, the Click Drive raises money for micro-credit, a poverty fighting technique that provides small "micro-loans" to people in developing countries. Visit www.povertyfighters.com for more information and to register your school for the drive, running NOW from February 14 through March 26. If you’re interested in the campaign or have any questions, contact Lauren Greis, email@example.com.
