Advocates for Youth is a DC-based organization "dedicated to creating programs and promoting policies which help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health." It is an LGBT-friendly organization, and their website contains useful information on pregnancy prevention, STD- and AIDS-prevention, and honest, youth-focused resources on sex and sexuality.

Brave Girls and Strong Women Bookstore
This site allows users to buy over 40 books that empower girls of all ages, featuring girls who do something courageous or stand up for themselves, and strong women role models. Users can also buy from a list of books for adults about girls' loss of self-esteem and solutions to this problem. In addition, aspiring writers can get help to write their own empowering book for girls.

Coalition for Positive Sexuality
This site designed for teenage women and men encourages a positive attitude towards sexuality and health. It includes information on safer sex, birth control, abortion, abstinence, gay and lesbian issues, and pregnancy.

CUT: Teens and Self-injury
This website provides information for the in-production short-subject documentary CUT: Teens and Self-injury. Since there is little in the way of resources and support for self-injurers, CUT is working to increase awareness and education for this behavior that disproportionately affects women and girls.The site contains links to online and phone resouces for self-injurers, as well as contact info for the filmmaker.

CWLA's National Girls Initiative
The National Girls Initiative (NGI) is a comprehensive strategy for promoting the positive development of girls and young women in the United States. Girls and young women develop in unique and powerful ways. They have distinct strengths and needs that require a specialized focus when working in their behalf. Recognizing this, CWLA established NGI to promote the optimal development and well-being of girls and young women.

Cybergrrl Webstation
Very fun to explore. Cybergrrl is an interactive online comic; you can read current and past episodes and discover the files and profiles relevant to the storyline. You can also post and read messages, register and soon participate in several chat rooms, and buy Cybergrrl and Webgrrl products at the online store. The store also contains reviews of books for girls, as well as a link to the online bookstore where you can purchase the books. Also find a few links.

Encyclopedia of Women's History
The Encyclopedia of Women's History was born out of a school project in which each of the students submitted a report on a different famous woman. The site has expanded beyond just that class, or even school, and takes submissions from any K through grade 12 student . Entries are listed alphabetically by subject. The site also includes a page of links to other women's history sites.

Girl Tech is a wonderful resource for girls and women looking for an introduction to the the web. Girl Tech has a girl-powered search engine; links and articles about women in sports; discussions on issues from body image to girls and technology; creative writing by girls; and multicultural activities. The site is interactive, with many fun games and surveys to fill out.

Girls Coalition of Greater Boston
The Girls Coalition of Greater Boston includes teachers, funders, activists and organizations such as Big Sisters, Girl Scouts, Girls Inc., the YWCA, community centers, schools, academics, and neighborhood agencies. All have united through the coalition to work for increased opportunities for girls.

Girls on the Run International
A nonprofit which runs afterschool programs for girls ages 8-12 using running as a tool to build self-esteem, develop healthy lifestyles and culminates in a 5K fun race as a way of teaching girls to set achievable goals

Girls Write Now
Girls rule. You know that. But there might have been one time in your life when you didn't. It was a time when you were unsure of yourself, your sexuality and your place in the world, unsure of your talents, and struggling to find your unique voice. Much of this uncertainty probably occurred during your teenage years, in between biology tests and acne breakouts. And by now you know that your experience wasn't unique at all—that thousands, millions of teenage girls felt just like you. They still do, you know. That's what Girls Write Now is all about. Girls Write Now Inc. (GWN) is a non-profit mentoring organization based in New York City. At Girls Write Now, we pair professional women writers with underserved teenage girls who love to write, but who attend schools where they get little more than basic composition classes. We have built a strong community through monthly writing workshops, and our mentors—novelists, journalists, publicists, and more—become more than just role models for their young mentees. They give these girls a glimpse at what successes they can achieve by doing what they love most: reading and writing. Established in 1998, GWN provides a nurturing environment for girls to cultivate their natural writing talents, develop writing skills in different genres, and to build confidence in making healthy choices in school, career and life.

If you're trying to find a magazine that takes a realistic approach to traditional teen magazine subjects, you've found it. gURL is an e-zine that takes on both serious and fun issues with style, humor, and good writing. "Getting around the gURL" provides help finding things, as well as very important advice on how to handle all the special effects on the site (like animation and audio).

A company offering products and services for girls' financial independence, Independent Means helps girls in becoming entrepreneurs, promoting woman- and girl-owned businesses. Their site features programs on investing and starting a business, and hosts frequent chats with women entrepreneurs.

MOUNTAIN OF HOPE
Mountain of Hope is a federation of big - hearted WOMEN who came together to assist Vulnerable Women, Needy and Orphaned Girls within their Community. Formed under the act of Community Based Organizations, Mountain of Hope was founded on 9th July, 2003 and to date it has over 210 members. Mountain of Hope’s Mission involves:- - Addressing HIV/AIDS issues (Creation of HIV/AIDS Awareness) - Helping and encourage the society to be helpful to needy and orphaned girls and advocating for girl child education - Addressing POVERTY issues amongst women who actually are more economically vulnerable and are more likely to barter sex in exchange for money, security / physical safety even if this means a risk to their health - Addressing GENDER issues by training women to understand and believe that gender discrimination is morally wrong and be able to recognize gender issues in their own personal experience as well as educating women in the society to analyze gender issues and identify discriminating practices, which stand in the way of gender equality. - Seeking to EMPOWER women economically through fundraisings and initiating business projects to enable them educate their children - Educating women on LEGAL issues -This includes their rights to inherit their husbands’ land, properties etc and on the laws that hinder women’s empowerment e.g. inheritance laws, family laws etc. This makes women in the society more aware of the legal codes and customary practices that still treat women as second-class citizens, denying them the right to own property. - Trying to improve women's SELF-ESTEEM and sense of PERSONAL POWER through seminars and - Educate women on HEALTH information and women’s control over their own bodies.

NOW and Young Feminism
The National Organization for Women has been active in promoting issues of young feminism. This website includes information on young feminism, reports on issues of importance to youngfeminists, and information on NOW's annual Youngfeminist Summits.

Save Our Girls
The purpose of Save Our Girls is to provide education, outreach, & support services to teen girls in crisis as well as foster the growth and development of the teen population through a network of local peer chapters, peer forums, & community programs.

Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League
This Washington, DC youth service agency works to "support and enhance the self-esteem of sexual minority youth - any youth (13-21) who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (lgbt), or who may be questioning their sexuality - and to increase public awareness and understanding of their issues." The site contains information on local meetings, as well as links to other reliable resources.

Sticker Sisters
Sticker Sisters (TM) is a a project dedicated to the creation and spread of products with positive messages for girls that was started by an eigth-grader who refused to believe the oppressive messages she received in school. Order stickers that say "Girls Can Do Anything" or "Punk Rock Isn't Just for Your Boyfriend"!

Take Our Daughters to Work Day - The Ms. Foundation
Held the fourth Thursday in April, the goals of this day are to CELEBRATE Girls' Worth: To value their opinions and ideas, to use their voice to speak their mind, to never stop asking questions, to live proudly in their bodies as they are. The site has all the organizing and background information necessary to participate and get the most out of the experience!

Teen Talking Circles: Daughters Sisters
This site provides information about trainings and workshops that support Girls Talking Circles, mixed gender circles, and diversity circles. The organization has been around since 1993 and has produced 3 books - Daughters of the Moon, Sisters of the Sun: Young Women and Mentors on the Transition to Womanhood; Global Uprising - Stories from a New Generation of Activists, and Speaking and Listening from the Heart: the Art of FAcilitating Teen Talking Circles.

Teen Voices Online
On this interactive site, find a sampling of the articles for Teen Voices, a magazine by and for young women working to improve young women's social and economic status. Also participate in net forums to interact with other teens, find out how to submit articles, become an intern and more.

Teenwire
Teenwire is Planned Parenthood's youth website, featuring information on sexual health and relationships specifically directed toward teens. The site provides a space for teens to submit their own writing on this topic, as well as an "Ask the Expert" section where teens can get honest questions to sometimes difficult-to-ask questions.

The Empower Program
The Empower Program is a non-profit educational organization in the Washington, DC area dedicated to empowering all people to understand their power and role in preventing gender-based violence. The site includes information about their programs and staff, including a section on self-defense.

The Garden of Hope Foundation
The GOH works to end sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and domestic violence in Taiwan. Our site has background and current information in English and Chinese. 　

The Teen Trip
Though this site is primarily an advertisement for a book about teenagers, their problems, and their coping techniques, it also features links to resources for youth and suggestions about how to organize a youngfeminist group.

Women and Girls' Tech Up
Tech Up is the webzine of a collaborative project for women and girls organizations that showcases ideas and creative work about media, technology, mentorship, and political action. The site looks at barriers to women and girls' participation in the media, politics, and technology.
