Senior Director of Research Planned Parenthood Federation of America - NYC

The Senior Director of Research leads and supports strategies to improve the health care in the Federation and its health centers through research, with a focus on health services research, patient outcomes research, and large clinical trials, as well as support for affiliate led studies. The Director of Research reporting to the Senior Advisor of Medical Affairs and in close partnership with the Director of Clinical Quality and Senior Director of Medical Services will focus on developing projects that will most benefit the Federation?s health centers and their clinical staff,. The Director of Research will oversee and manage applied clinical research including all phases of evaluation, data management/analysis, leading project staff in planning statistical data analysis and outcomes, grant deliverables and other contracts. Along with ad hoc data collection, the research team will utilize the PPFA data warehouse, which is growing rapidly as affiliates adopt use of Electronic Health Records, with standardized common data elements making this resource suitable for research. In this newly designed leadership role, the Director of Research will work closely with the Federation's Medical Directors to ensure that we are meeting their needs as stakeholders and will fully utilize the resources of the National Office to include the Data Analytics team (DA), Affiliate Services team (ASD), CAPS and Voxent.
