Description:

Better Georgia, the state's fastest growing progressive advocacy group, is seeking a talented and committed fundraiser to lead our development efforts.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Development Director will establish fundraising goals and develop short- and long-term strategies to diversify and grow contributed income for the organization.

Responsibilities will range across every sector of development and activities will include: managing Better Georgia's individual giving program, prospecting, coordinating and drafting foundation proposals and reports, and planning and executing special events.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a successful professional fundraiser and a passion to transform a small, highly successful organization into a large, sustainable powerhouse. The ideal candidate needs to be a strong writer for email and direct mail campaigns and an excellent communicator in person. This position requires someone who will operate as an independent self-starter, be comfortable representing the organization at all levels, and possess a keen eye for detail.

Hours vary and the position will require some evening work. Salary will be dependent on qualification and anticipated contribution to Better Georgia.
