Description:

New member of the Council of the District of Columbia seeking a dynamic Legislative Director to manage wide ranging portfolio of legislative issues, with a special focus on education. The candidate will work directly with the member and Chief of Staff to develop legislative proposals, advocate for passage, monitor committees and keep member updated.

The ideal candidate will have (1) masters in education or commensurate experience; (2) ability to work well in a team-oriented office; (3) experience producing concrete legislative results, demonstrated through professional achievements; (4) strong written, oral and interpersonal skills.
