Job Title: Development and Online Manager
Organization: Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health
Region: East Coast
Description: ABOUT PRCH: Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health is a physician-led, national, not-for-profit organization that works to ensure all people have the knowledge, access, and freedom to make their own reproductive health decisions. We implement programs for our supporters and physician members in public policy, community organizing, communications, and medical education at the systems, organizational, and individual levels. Headquartered in New York, PRCH is the voice of pro-choice physicians.

DESCRIPTION: The Development and Online Manager has four overall areas of responsibility: S/he oversees and maintains the organization-wide database; s/he utilizes technology applications integral to the success of email messaging, electronic advocacy and fundraising campaigns; and s/he has responsibility for hands-on, tactical management for all fundraising events. S/he also provides general support for all Individual Giving Programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will report to and support the Director of Individual and Major Gifts for all Individual Giving programs.

Database: responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Raiser?s Edge and Sphere systems, including handling new donor entries and all entries related to gifts; downloading online gifts and reconciling online and RE entries; running queries, lists and reports for staff; recommending procedures for database-wide maintenance and periodic clean up.

Technology: manage online communications activities for all programs; post email communications; support web content management as needed; manage online applications to launch advocacy and fundraising campaigns in desired sequence and support and track all online fundraising campaign results.

Events: work closely with the Director of Individual and Major Gifts managing fundraising events, including an annual Awards Ceremony, PRCH fundraising races, house parties, and other events as needed.

General Administration and Support: generate gift acknowledgements; maintain and reconcile gift records through monthly and annual reports with Finance; prepare monthly donor reports; correspond with board members regarding their annual giving commitments; prepare check deposits, process credit card contributions, photocopy checks as necessary, trouble-shoot contributions, answer donor inquiries.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor?s degree and a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with Raiser?s Edge. Must have experience with online applications for advocacy and/or fundraising (preferably with Sphere). Ideal candidate will have the ability to think logically and strategically about the uses of data for organizational purposes, ability to multitask, prioritize, and produce accurate data on tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, sense of humor and a strong interest in Pro-choice reproductive health and rights.
