2005 Feminist Leadership Institute
The 2005 Feminist Leadership Institute (FLI) in Crystal City, VA on April 8th was extremely successful with over 60 students in attendance representing campuses across the United States!
The FLI focused on educating student leaders on ways in start and maintain their feminist student groups by providing a chance to gain and share knowledge about a variety of issues. The workshops covered topics such as the politics of language and clothing, how to strengthen your student group, the importance of funding feminism, how to navigate campus media, and the history of the feminist movement.
The Feminist Majority Foundation Campus Program distributed a variety of updated resources and information at the FLI in addition to the workshops. These binders include user-friendly information on the feminist movement, past and present, as well as ways to strengthen your feminist presence on campus.
